Our History

John Buchanan began his successful building career gaining a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise in property development and building services working for his father’s company K.J Buchanan of Guildford in Surrey for over 20 years.

Building on this experience, in 1994 he established J C Buchanan Building Services Limited.

Having already secured a long-standing reputation and contact base the business quickly established itself as a leading provider of build, development and investment opportunities across the South East of England and beyond.

Over the last 25 years the business has tackled all facets of build and development projects building a diverse portfolio that includes the design, build and renovation of commercial projects spanning offices, retail, leisure and public buildings including schools and churches, alongside residential developments that range from private dwellings to major residential schemes.

Our successful portfolio includes:

Construction of the UK’s 1^st carbon neutral vineyard hotel. Denbies Estate, Dorking, Surrey
Construction of Sutton Green Golf Club in Surrey
Significant refurbishment of 6-bedroom private residence, Kingswood, Surrey
